Who we are

LockedPrice is the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect

Customers: name, mobile number, email, the job postcode and details, any photo you upload, messages, reviews and reports. Business accounts also store property addresses, access notes and on-site contacts.
Locksmiths: contact and business details, coverage area and hours, identity, insurance, DBS and address documents, quotes, credit and payment history.
Everyone: sign-in codes (stored only as a hash), and which page or campaign you arrived from when you post a job.

How we use it and why

To run the marketplace: sending your job to nearby locksmiths, sharing contact details once you accept a quote, and sending texts and emails about your job (contract).
To vet locksmiths and keep customers safe, including handling complaints and removing locksmiths (legitimate interests).
To keep financial records (legal obligation).
To understand which pages and campaigns bring customers, in aggregate (legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

Locksmiths see the area and details of your job, not your contact details, until you accept their quote. We use service providers for hosting, texts, emails and card payments, who act on our instructions. We don't sell personal data.

Cookies

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. When you sign in, a sign-in token is kept in your browser so the site works.

How long we keep it

[Proposed, confirm before launch] Job and payment records: 6 years, for accounting and disputes. Locksmith vetting documents: deleted 12 months after an account closes. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
