Changing the locks is the first job on most moving-in lists, and insurers often expect it. A euro cylinder swap on a uPVC or composite door takes about 20 minutes; a mortice lock on a timber door takes longer.
Tell us the door type and add a photo of the lock if you can. Locksmiths quote a fixed price for the labour and call-out and show the parts cost separately if it depends on the lock you choose.

Should I change the locks when I move into a rental?
Your landlord should arrange it. Many landlords and letting agents use LockedPrice between tenancies. Ask them, or post the job yourself with their OK.
Can I keep the same keys for front and back doors?
Yes. Ask for keyed-alike cylinders in your job details, and the locksmiths will price it in.
